Incorporated in 1926, Hudson News Company first began distributing newspapers in 1918 as the Bayonne News Company. Since then it has become one of North America's largest independent wholesalers of periodicals and books.
In 1987, Hudson Group Retail Division was formed to fulfill the concession needs of the transportation industry by creating and operating newsstands, bookstores, gift shops and specialty stores in major airports and terminals throughout the U.S. and Canada.
The company incorporates, takes on additional territory and is renamed Hudson County News Company.
Hudson expands magazine dist. to include Newark, Staten Island & Southern New Jersey.
Ike Cohen forms the Bayonne News Company when awarded distributorship of the New York Evening Journal in Bayonne, New Jersey.
Hudson begins magazine distribution when Curtis Circulation Company appoints Hudson as its wholesale distributor.
