Bert and John Jacobs, two young dudes from Boston, established the Life is good concept in 1989. Their cheery alter ego, a charming stick figure with a contagious grin, name of Jake, is the basis of the brothers' success…the subject of their life-affirming message. The brothers have marketed Jake on cheerfully hued merchandise across America - in their own stores as well as in featured sections of other stores, large and small.
In May, Hudson Group opened the first Life is good airport store at Chicago's Midway Airport. It was an instant hit. So now airport employees and travelers can take home a piece of Jake - in the form of shirts, sandals, mugs, backpacks, toys and much much more. And stay tuned, because more Jake is on the way. Life IS good.
