Hudson Group Wins Contract for Euro Café at Calgary International Airport

Calgary, Alberta, Canada; June 21, 2005 - The Hudson Group is pleased to announce the recent selection by the Calgary Airport Authority of a combination Hudson News and Euro Café store to serve the passengers and employees of Calgary International Airport

"We are delighted to have been chosen to expand Hudson's retail presence at this world-class facility through the introduction of our award-winning café/newsstand brand - Hudson News/Euro Café," says Joseph DiDomizio, Executive Vice President, Hudson Group. "Our market research has shown that the two top demands of air travelers are a superior cup of coffee and something to read," he continues. "Combining a Hudson News store, with its comprehensive selection of magazines and newspapers, and a full-service, gourmet coffee shop in a single location improves convenience for the traveling public."

According to Julien DeSchutter, Vice President of Airport Marketing for the Calgary Airport Authority: "We are excited about the addition of the Hudson News/Euro Café concept. It is a fitting complement to the extensive selection of concessions that we offer, and we believe it will greatly enhance the overall passenger experience at the airport."

Hudson Group operates its flagship Hudson Newsstands in 53 airports throughout North America, including Vancouver and Halifax International Airports. Under the familiar blue "Hudson News" sign can be found the most complete selection of magazines in the aviation industry, displayed full face in brightly lighted racks. The stores also carry local and national newspapers, along with a variety of travelers' necessities, snacks and bottled soft drinks.

Hudson Group operates 22 upscale Euro Café locations in airports across the continent. Euro Cafés offer freshly roasted premium coffee blends, including cappuccino, espresso, latte, as well as regular and decaffeinated coffee and specialty tea. These items are made using only state-of-the art brewing equipment and processes that guarantee the highest levels of freshness and cleanliness. Euro Café also partners with the best local bakeries to provide the freshest baked products, sandwiches and snacks. In Calgary, Eiffel Tower Bakery, an established local provider with a reputation for outstanding quality, will supply the baked goods offered in the Euro Café.

"We have found an ideal partner in Hudson Group's Euro Café," says Stephan Nicon, Director, Eiffel Tower Bakery. "They truly understand, recognize and appreciate the quality that we strive for in our business. We look forward to a long and rewarding collaboration in support of the airport, its employees and customers."
